Genius Mixes and Genius playlists reacquaint you with music you already own. The new Genius Mixes feature searches your iTunes library to find songs that go great together, then organizes them into genre-based mixes you’ll love. They’re like channels programmed entirely with your music. Genius automatically creates multiple Genius Mixes — just choose one to match your mood. Customize the name and order of your favorite mixes, and delete the ones you don’t want. You can also create Genius playlists. Say you’re playing a song and want to hear more like it. Select it and click the Genius button. Genius finds songs that match the same vibe and makes a Genius playlist for you. And if you’re looking for music to add to your library, the Genius sidebar gives you recommendations for new music to download based on the songs you already love. It also works for movies and TV shows.
